Two persons were today arrested in Bijnor district for stealing the INSAS rifle of a GRP constable six days back when he was travelling in a train.
Acting on a tip-off, police arrested Chaman and Iddu, who had stolen the rifle of GRP constable Mahendra on August 23 when he was sleeping in the train, they said.
The two were arrested from the Kamlapur forest area of the district, police said, adding that the stolen weapon has also been recovered from them.
