Two arrested for taking bets on IPL matches in Hyderabad

Two persons were today arrested for allegedly running a cricket betting racket for IPL matches.

Ashish Agarwal and Prateek Agarwal allegedly accepted bets over cell-phones, as they operated from a hotel room in Abids area, police said.

Sleuths of Central Zone Task Force arrested the duo when they were accepting bets on the match between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Chennai Superkings being played at Ranchi yesterday, and seized seven cell-phones, betting slips, a TV set besides Rs 7,200 in cash, they said.
