Two arrested for telecasting new films without copyright

Two persons were arrested today for allegedly telecasting the new films "Vadacurry" and "Un Samayal Araiyil" through the local cable network by downloading them without obtaining copy right, police said.

On a complaint from actor Vishal, police registered a case for illegally telecasting new films without copyright and seized computer and other equipments used for telecasting the film in the local network from Mohammad Mansoor and Sampath.

Vishal told reporters here that thousands of persons were depending on cinema production and telecasting the new fils without obtaining copy right was like exploiting their labour and creativity.

He said he would fight against video piracy and involve his fellow actors and others in the film industry to fight and end the menace.
 

Vishal was here in connection with the shooting of a film by directed by Hari.
