Two persons were today arrested for allegedly stealing gold and diamond jewellery worth Rs 66 lakh from Palamu in Jharkhand, police said today.
Sonu (23) and Dilip (21) were arrested by a Delhi Police team from their native place in Palamu on June 21, DCP (north) Madhur Verma said.
The accused were arrested in connection with an FIR registered on a complaint by a Shastri Nagar resident, Rajesh Chauhan at Kotwali police station on May 25.
As per the complaint, Sonu had fled away with a parcel of gold and diamond jewellery worth Rs 66 lakh after which a police team was dispatched to Palamu which arrested the duo, the officer said.
