Two tribal women were arrested for allegedly trafficking women from the Seraikela-Kharswan district to Delhi, the police said today.

The police have lodged an FIR against five persons including Priyanka Munda and Jema Munda on the statement of one Manju Kumari Hembram, whose cousin sister Sarswati Hembram and another woman Basanti Hembram were allegedly lured to Delhi and sold there by the accused women.

Manju Kumari lodged the FIR today after she had a talk with Sarswati over phone recently, the police said.

The accused women, who were residents of Chakradharpur in West Singhbhum district, along with two persons - Champai Munda and Vijay Munda - had lured the women from Mahadevpur in Sini under Seraikela police station and sold them in Delhi.

Sarswati was reportedly working in the house of a retired professor in Saket, sources said adding a police team would soon visit Delhi to trace the two women and initiate action against the accused.

The Seraikela police registered a case against the five under relevant sections of the IPC including section 370 and arrested the Munda duo, the police added.
