Two arrested in double murder case

Special Task Force of Uttar Pradesh police has arrested two persons in an alleged connection with a double murder case of Sabarkantha, Gujarat, an official said today.

In a joint operation with Gujrat police, Mohammed Alim Khan and his accomplice Sanjay Sahu were arrested from Mahanagar area here, Inspector General, Law and Order, Amrendra Singh Sengar said.

Gujarat police had sought the help of STF in connection with the recovery of two bodies in Gamboi area in Himmatnagar of Gujarat on January 15 this year after it was found that the deceased were in contact with exorcist Khan belonging to Sultanpur of Uttar Pradesh, the IG said.
 

After collecting all information, Khan and Sahu were arrested late last night, he said.

Khan, during interrogation, allegedly accepted that he along with Sahu had killed the duo following a row over money, Sengar said.

The two are being taken to Gujarat after taking a transit remand, he added.
