Two arrested in gangrape case in UP

Police have arrested the two accused in connection with gangrape a Dalit woman at Alem town in Shamli district last week.

Superintendent of Police Vijaibhushan told newsmen here today that police arrested the two accused, Bablu and Sattey, who were absconding since the incident.

The woman was gangraped on October 28 and threatened of dire consequences if she spoke of the incident to anyone by the duo.

Police have registered a case under Dalit Act and 376 of IPC (rape) in this connection.
