The judge of fast track court (2nd) Anirban Das convicted a 33 year-old-man and awarded life imprisonment to him for raping the baby girl in February last year.
The girl was raped when her mother had left her sleeping in the house and went to collect cooked food from a nearby ICDS centre.
In the other case the judge of fast track court(I) T K Mandal awarded seven-year jail term to a 25-year-old youth for raping a 16-year-old girl in April 2009.
The girl was forcibly taken away and raped by the youth in a field when she went out of her house on some work at night.
