Two Bangladeshis were today arrested from Varsana village in the district by Special Operations Group (SOG) of the Kutch Police.

Moritosh Roy and Somiran Biswas were apprehended when they were passing from Varsana village and spotted by SOG, police said.

"Based on suspicion, we stopped them. The duo confessed to be Bangladeshi citizens and said they came here in search of livelihood," said SOG Police Inspector J K Zala.

Zala said police were trying to find out the real purpose of their visit and whether the duo had any local connections.

"We are also trying to find out how they entered India and why they came here. Their questioning is underway. We will then send them to Joint Interrogation Centre at Bhuj," he said.
