Two Bangladeshis held in Surat

Two Bangladeshi nationals were today apprehended from Kim village in Olpad taluka near here for illegal stay in the country, police said.

The duo, identified as Murtuza Abdul Sheikh (25) and Noor Jehan alias Rani Sheikh (30), both residents of Bangladesh were nabbed by Special Operations Group (SOG), Surat rural, based on intelligence inputs, officials said.

"A birth certificate, class VIII marksheet, photocopy of Indian passport and some documents related to their property in Karjan village of Vadodara district were recovered from their possession," SOG Police Inspector R I Parekh said.

"The duo was involved in the business of selling chemicals for wood polishing," he said.
