Two bike borne persons killed in a road accident in Siwan

Two persons were killed today when a pick-up van knocked down a motorcycle from behind near Goplapur village in Bihar's Siwan district.

Mufassil police station SHO Vinay Pratap Singh said that the deceased have been identified as cousins Anil Yadav (30) and Pitamber Yadav (35).

Both died on the spot in the acccident that occurred around 7 am, Singh said and added that they were residents of neighbouring Ramapali village.

The angry villagers sat in protest with the bodies on Siwan-Mairwa road blocking the road, SHO said adding that both the administrative and police officials were trying to pacify the villagers to get the blockade lifted.
 

The driver of the pick-up van managed to escape with the vehicle.
