a road accident near Garhbanaili village in Kasba police station area in Bihar's Purnia district, the police said today.
The accident took place late last night as the driver of the motorcycle lost control and rammed into an under-construction culvert, the sources said.
The bikers, Md Parvez (24) and Md Salim (25), died on the spot after a protuding rod at the culvert pierced into them, they said.
The victims were riding a bike on way back to their native G N Ganj village from his maternal house in Matiari village in the district, sources added.
Meanwhile, angry locals blocked road demanding arrest of the contractor and engineer for negligence in construction of the culvert and leaving the work incomplete that led to the mishap, they said.
