Three persons, two of them brothers, were today awarded life imprisonment by a court for murdering a man who was a witness in a property-related case.

Additional Sessions Judge P K Sinha also imposed a fine of Rs 5,000 each on the trio, Vishnu Badrilal (35), his brother Yashwant (37) and Dharmendra (36), after finding them guilty of murder and other related sections of IPC.

They had killed one Subhash Baulal (28) by stabbing in Banganaga area here on March 10, 2010.

The trio was involved in a property dispute with their neighbour, and Baulal had deposed against them in a local court in the matter.

This had led to enmity between them and Baulal, who was eventually killed, prosecution counsel N A Mandloi told reporters.
