Two brothers drowned when their boat capsized in a dam near here in Madhya Pradesh, police said today.
Their third sibling swam to safety after the boat overturned in Rumal Dam under the Ugli Police Station area yesterday afternoon, they said.
The tragedy took place when three brothers - Ajay (20) and Abhay (18) and Rakesh (22) - were sailing in a small boat in the dam, said Ugli Police Station in-charge D S Adme.
The boat capsized when it reached in the middle of the dam. Two of them - Abhay and Ajay Sharma - drowned, while the third one, Rakesh Sharma, managed to swim to the banks, he said.
Later in the evening, divers fished out the bodies, Adme said.
The deceased were residents of Bhopal and visiting their grandparents here, the police officer said.
Their bodies were handed over to family members after post-mortem examination, he added.
