Two brothers are feared to have
drowned in the Pandu river of the Barra area here, police said today.
The incident happened last evening when the five-year-old Deepanshu slipped into the Pandu river when he went to relieve himself there, police said.
Seeing his brother drown, eight-year-old Deepak jumped to save him and also started drowning with Deepanshu, they said.
The family of the victims were informed of the incident by the children playing in that area, police said.
Police sent the divers last night to find the boys but due to the fast flow of the river, they were not found.
Today again the divers would search the area, they said.
