Two brothers were killed and another person was injured when a car in which they were travelling in fell into a gorge in Dharchula area of Pithoragarh district, police said today.
The accident occurred late last evening when the car skidded off the road near Dharchula army crossing and fell into the 300-400 metre deep gorge, killing Vimal Singh Dugtal (24) on the spot and leaving two others injured, they said.
Kamal Singh Dugtal (26) succumbed to his injuries at Pithoragarh district hospital today, they said.
Another car occupant Vimal Hayanki (25) who was injured in the accident is under treatment at the same hospital where his condition is said to be out of danger, the sources said.
The car was going from Dharchula to Galati when it met with the accident, they said.
