The Cyberabad Police arrested two cab drivers today on charges of allegedly outraging the modesty of two women and robbing them after picking them up in their car near the Rajiv Gandhi International (RGI) Airport at Shamshabad here.

Cab drivers R Jagan and T Srinivas, who had observed the movement of working women of RGI Airport during night shifts, targeted them when they travelled alone in cabs during nights, the police said.

On December 16 last year, Jagan had allegedly picked up a woman in his car, who was an employee at RGI Airport, taken her to an isolated place and misbehaved with her.

When she resisted, he beat her and robbed her gold ornaments as well as handbag containing some cash before letting her off, the police said.

In another incident, Jagan and Srinivas consumed liquor and allegedly picked up another woman on the night of January 24, while she was waiting for a cab at Gate-II of the RGI Airport, and took her to interior place near Burujuguda Thanda.

Jagan started misbehaving with the victim and beat her when she resisted, after which they robbed her, the police said.

The Special Operations Team of the Cyberabad Police worked on clues and arrested the two cab drivers.
