Two cane bombs recovered

from a village in Bihar's Gaya district, a police officer said today.

Launching a search operation against the Maoists, the security forces seized the two cane bombs from Ekdwari village which were reportedly hidden by the ultras, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Akhtar Hussain said.

The security forces, comprising the CRPF's CoBRA battalion and Special Task Force (STF) jawans, besides the local police, later left for search operation in Baburamdih village in the naxal-infested district to pursue a senior Maoist leader Sandeep Yadav, who was reportedly hiding in the village, he said.
