Two CCL miners stranded in underground coal mine in Ramgarh

Two coal mine workers of Central Coal Fields Limited (CCL) got stranded in Saunda coal mines of Ramgarh district today as water suddenly entered into the underground mine from the adjacent mines, official sources said.

Relief and rescue operation has been initiated in the mines and senior CCL and administrative officials are camping in the area.

Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) of Ramgarh, Anant Kumar, who is camping at the site to monitor relief and rescue operation told PTI that two workers Ashok Sinha and Pravesh Nonia were stranded in Saunda underground coal mine of CCL as water entered into it early today from nearby abandoned mines, suddenly.
 

Relief and rescue operation has been initiated by CCL and district administration, official sources said.
