Two children were charred to death and two others sustained burn injuries after a fire broke out in a hutment at a village in Bihar's Saharsa district this morning, an officer said.
The incident took place in Maheshri village as a hutment caught fire trapping four siblings while they were asleep, Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) Rajesh Kumar said.
While two children identified as Suraj Pandit (6) and Arti Kumari (5) were fatally trapped in the blaze, two other siblings sustained injuries, he said.

The bodies have been sent for post-mortem and the injured duo admitted to Sadar hospital, Kumar said.
Elder members were away for work at the time of outbreak of fire in their house, the SDO said.
A probe is on to find out the cause of the blaze, he said.
