Two children were injured when a wild bear attacked them in Jammu and Kashmir's Reasi belt today, officials said.

Parveena and her brother Younus, both in their teens, were collecting grass for livestock in Kendora village on the higher reaches of Pir Panjal mountains when they were attacked by a black bear.

The two suffered injuries on their faces and forehead, the officials said.

Some Rashtriya Rifles jawans rushed to the area on hearing children's scream.

They provided immediate medical treatment to them and later rushed them to civil hospital at Mahore.
