Advocate Vandana Jadhav had approached the CIDCO for getting the conveyance deed (a document executed to transfer land title and building in favour of a housing society) done for a housing complex at Ghansoli in Navi Mumbai.
To get the work done, CIDCO Office Assistant Sunanada Gaikwad had allegedly demanded a bribe of Rs 1.12 lakh for herself and her senior Colony Officer Sanjiv Dhole, Thane Superintendent of Police (ACB) Deepak Sakore said.
After negotiations, the amount was fixed at Rs 50,000.
Meanwhile, Jadhav lodged a complaint with the ACB, which laid a trap and caught Sanil Chandan Sarkar, an alleged middleman who accepted the bribe on behalf of the two CIDCO officials at the agency's headquarters in Belapur, he said.
The three have been booked on graft charge, Sakore said.
