Two jawans of an elite anti-Naxal unit were injured when a pressure bomb planted by Maoists exploded in Chhattisgarh's Sukma district today, police said.
The incident took place when a contingent of 206 CoBRA (Compact Battalion for Resolute Action) unit was carrying out a combing operation in restive forests under Chintagufa police station limits, Sukma Additional Superintendent of Police Santosh Singh told PTI.
During the operation, the jawans accidentally stepped on a pressure bomb planted by the extremists, leading it to explode and cause injuries to them, he said.
