A heated argument took place between constables Rajiv Rana and Bhupender, both of 24th Provincial Armed Constabulary over the use of a laptop late last night, Commandant of 24th PAC Ashok Kumar Tandon said.
Later, the fight escalated into a group clash in which the duo suffered injuries, he said, adding Rana has been admitted to a government hospital where his condition is stated to be stable, he said.
Clash among the constables is a serious matter and taken cognisance of the incident, a high level inquiry has been set up, Tandon said.
Assistant Commandant D K Cane has been appointed as the Inquiry Officer of the case, he added.
Medical report of constables has revealed liquor consumption, he said, adding that action will be taken against all the constables involved.
