Two police personnel, including a Station House Officer (SHO), have been suspended in Uttar Pradesh's Mathura town, a police official said today.
On the orders of SSP Prabhakar Chaudhary, constable Azad Singh, deployed at the Jamuna Paar police station was suspended on bribery charges, PRO of the SSP Sanjeev Tyagi said.
A case under Bhrashtachar Niwaran Adhiniyam 1988 has been registered against the constable for extorting bribes from vehicles in front of Jamuna Paar police station," he said.
The SHO of the police station, Inspector Harendra Pal Singh too was suspended for his inability to control his staff, he added.
