The two men were on their way home in Guwahati from Khatkhati in Karbi Anglong district, where they were posted, when the mishap ocurred late last night.
The two died on the spot, the police said.
In another incident, a school student riding a motorbike hit two labourers and seriously injured them along with some people out on their morning walk at Nagaon this morning, the police added.
