Two dalit men were gunned down
by unidentified assailants in a village in Bihar's Begusarai district, police said today.
The incident took place late last night at Masudanpur village under Balia police station and the two victims were identified as Lakhan Ram (29) and Mahesh Ram (26), superintendent of police Manoj Kumar said.
Both the men died on the spot, he said adding land dispute is suspected to be the motive behind the crime.
A case has been registered and raids were being carried out to nab the culprits, he said.
