As many as 25 varieties of apple grown in Himachal are at display with over 210 growers participating in two-day Apple Festival that commenced here today.
Inaugurating the festival organised jointly by Horticulture and Tourism departments, state Horticulture Minister Vidya Stokes said that besides different varieties of apples, the dishes prepared with apple as recipe are also on display.
She said the apple growers are provided high quality plants of the fruit to boost production and hoped that the state would become a major exporter of the fruit in near future.
