Joint Council of Bus Syndicates general secretary Tapan Banerjee said the strike was called off following assurance by the transport minister to look into the demands of the operators sympathetically.
The operators have been demanding a upward revision of fares owing to high fuel price, high insurance rates owing to GST and other issues like police harassment, Banerjee said.
