The Navy's INHS Asvini and its School of Medical Assistants organised a two-day conference that focused on paramedical training, management of emergencies in combat zones and casualty evacuation in the three services, officials said today.
The conference, held yesterday and today, was attended by officers from the Navy, Army and the Air Force, a release said.
The release said that Surgeon Rear Admiral G Vishwanath, Command Medical Officer, Southern Naval Command, in his keynote address, stressed on the importance of training to improve combat efficiency.
A resource CD for paramedics, compiled by the School of Medical Assistants, was also released during the conference.
