Three cases of suicide, including one of a woman who married just a week ago, were reported from the national capital in the past two days, police said today.
25-year-old Nilofer, who got married on March 6 and reached the capital five days later, allegedly committed suicide on March 13 at Mundka in west Delhi, they said.
No suicide note was recovered from her.
Her husband Shamshad (30), a teacher in a private institute, was arrested for alleged dowry harassment after her family filed complaint.
In another case, 24-year-old Ramesh was found hanging inside his house in Mangolpuri this morning after an argument with his family members over some petty issue.
Last night he had a fight with his family members and after having dinner he went to sleep. He was found hanging this morning.
No suicide note was recovered from him.
The third case was reported from Sonia Vihar where a 22- year-old unemployed youth allegedly committed suicide last evening.
No suicide note was recovered from him. He was apparently depressed over not getting a job.
