Subhashish Panda, Director, Public Finance and Public Enterprises, cum Special Secretary (Finance), has been made Deputy Commissioner, Shimla, replacing Arun Kumar Sharma.
Panda also holds additional charge of Director, Information Technology, and Advisor (Planning).
Sandeep Kadam Vasant, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Mandi), replaces Jeet Ram Katwal as Deputy Commissioner, Una, an official release said.
Arun Kumar Sharma had served as Special Private Secretary to Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal in both his earlier and present terms.
Katwal has also served in the Chief Minister's office.
Several Opposition parties, including the Congress and the CPI-M, had complained against the two DCs alleging they were close to the present dispensation.
The EC also cleared the appointment of R N Batta as Director of Public Relations, HP, in place of B D Sharma who had proceeded on leave on medical grounds.
