Two persons died today and three others fell ill after allegedly consuming spurious liquor in Bharvalia village here, police said.
Mahaveer Gaur (45) and Raju Singh (25) died immediately after consuming the spurious liquor in Purani Basti area while the other three were rushed to the hospital where their condition was stated to be out of danger, police said.
Superintendent of Police Kripa Shankar Singh said the matter is being probed and samples of liquor have been sent for testing.
Action would be taken against those found guilty, the SP said.
