The blast took place at a privately-owned carbon factory in Bijni town late last night critically injuring six persons, including the owner of the factory.
The injured were admitted to Bongaigaon Civil Hospital where two of them succumbed to their injuries this morning.
The deceased employees were identified as Hitesh Roy and Pawan Roy.
The condition of the injured was stated to be critical, the sources said.
