Two die after falling from moving train in Haryana

Two persons died after falling from a moving train near the Ambala City Railway Station here today, the Government Railway Police (GRP) said.

Randhir Singh and his cousin Makhloon, residents of Kaithal, fell from a Amritsar-bound train and died on the spot, they said.

Makhloon was killed when he attempted to save Singh, the police said.

They were standing close to the gate as the coach was packed. The duo was going to Jalandhar to meet their relatives, they said, adding the incident occurred at a crossing near the station.

The GRP has taken the bodies to the civil hospital for post mortem.
 

In a separate incident, two unidentified bodies were found on the rail track near Ambala City. The police is investigating the matter.
