Two persons died and five others were taken seriously ill after allegedly consuming illicit country-made liquor in Tinsukia district of Assam, police said today.
The two persons identified as Gabeswar Miran (48) and Palash Hazarika (49) besides five others consumed the liquor last night at Bordumsa.
The two were found dead this morning in their houses.
The five seriously ill were admitted to hospital in Margherita town, police said, adding that the vendor of the liquor was taken into custody.
