Two die in accident, police find loaded pistol from one

The Police have recovered a loaded pistol after it recovered the bodies of two persons who died in a road mishap in Simanijor village under Shikaripara police station in Dumka district today.

The victims, identified as Angoor Sheikh and Barjan Sheikh (both 35-years-old), residents of Rampurhat in adjoining West Bengal, were travelling on a motorcycle when the driver lost control and fell down from an under-construction bridge last night, officer-in-charge of Shikaripara police station, S K Suman told reporters.

A police team rushed to the spot and recovered the bodies this morning and while searching the police found a loaded pistol in the pocket of Angoor, he said adding Barjan had a hotel in Badpahari village under Rampurhat police station area.
 

Investigations were on, a case was lodged in this regard and the bodies were sent for post-mortem, police said.
