The police said Dipak Sabar (26) and his neighbour Sanjay Sabar (3) died on the spot when lightning struck them as they were waiting near a bamboo grove during heavy rain.
The villagers had gathered to watch a football match when the rain began. They took shelter near the bamboo grove during rain, the police said.
Seven others suffered burn injuries and they were admitted to a local hospital.
