The district administration here in Odisha today dismissed two sisters from government service on charge of submitting fake caste certificate at the time of their recruitment, official sources said.

District Collector Yamini Sarangi has dismissed Rekha Bhotra, a lady clerk at the tehsil office of Raighar and Subha Bhotra, a lady teacher working under Nabarangpur Block, from government service, the sources said.

The local tribal community had earlier made allegation against the two sisters accusing them of forging their caste certificates in order to enter into the government service.

"Both of them got the government services by submitting fake ST certificate when they actually belong to Christian non-tribal community," they said.

The allegation made by tribal community was first enquired at the district level and found truth in the allegation. The district administration had referred the matter to the state level scrutiny committee which recommended their termination from government service, they said.

The district collector took action based on the recommendation of the state level scrutiny committee, the sources added.
