Two DJB beldars suspended for seeking bribe

Delhi Water Minister Kapil Mishra today suspended two beldars (labourers) of Delhi Jal Board (DJB) after they were allegedly found seeking bribe for waiving off water bills.

"Two beldars from Gandhi Nagar found seeking bribe in the name of helping in waiving off water bills. Both suspended (sic)," Mishra tweeted.

He also tweeted, "Honorable MLA Sh. Anil Vajpayee and some volunteers helped in getting the video sting done. Hats off to all anti corruption Crusaders".

Recently, the Delhi government had also removed Motor Licence Officer (MLA) at Sheikh Sarai and a Sub-Divisional Magistrate at Kapashera area in connection with alleged graft cases.
