Two elderly persons were allegedly murdered by their grandsons, including a minor, in separate incidents in Rajasthan, police said today.

A 28-year-old man, Sohan Nath, allegedly axed his grandmother to death in Pushkar town of Ajmer district.

"Nath asked for the axe from the grandmother for cutting branches of trees but she did not tell him where the axe was kept. He later found the axe on his own and in a fit of rage, he hit his grandmother's neck leaving her dead," Ramesh Sinsinwar, SHO Pushkar police station said.

The accused has been arrested, he said.

In the second case, a 17-year-old boy allegedly killed his 90-year-old grandfather Modiram with a sword last night over some money related dispute, SHO Nathdwara police station Manjeet Singh said.

"The boy and his grandfather had a dispute over the matter of a petty amount. The boy then attacked his grandfather with sword leaving him dead," he said.

He was later apprehended, he added.
