Two electrocuted in Bihar

Two persons were today electrocuted in Aurangabad district, when the bamboos they were cutting came in contact with a live wire.

Sub-Divisional Officer Sanjay Kumar said Nagendra Mehta and Sumant Mehta, both 30-year-olds, were engaged in cutting bamboos at Vishunbigha village when the bamboos touched overhead high-tension wire.

The two men died on the spot, he said, adding that the bodies have been sent for post-mortem.

Kumar said the family members of the two will be provided an ex-gratia assistance of Rs four lakh each under disaster management rules.
