Two eunuchs murdered in turf war

The eunuchs -- Ranjitha, the head of the 'dera' in Manju Ka Tila in north Delhi, and Sharmila -- were murdered by the trio in a span of ten days in Sriganganagar in Rajasthan and in Muradnagar in Uttar Pradesh in April-May this year.

Laxman, a cousin of Ranjitha, and his associates Satish and Paras, who were also working in the dera at Manju Ka Tila, murdered the duo to acquire their wealth which runs into crores of rupees.

"Ranjita's dera has territorial control over eunuchs in Delhi, Sri Ganganagar of Rajasthan and Hoshiarpur of Punjab and Laxman's plan was to eventually become the head of the 'dera' and enjoy a lavish lifestyle," Chhaya Sharma, Deputy Commissioner of Police, South District, said.

 

While Ranjitha's burnt body was recovered from Sriganganagar on April 28, the body of Sharmila was found burnt in Muradnagar on May 8.

During interrogation, police came to know that Ranjitha used Laxman to acquire many properties and wealth in several parts of Delhi and Rajasthan with the money the 'dera' got from fellow eunuchs.

Laxman has been working in the dera for the past 14 years and was very close to Ranjitha.
