Two factions of the Goa Cricket Association (GCA) are in Chennai ahead of the working committee meeting of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) tomorrow.
The faction led by GCA president Vinod Phadke and another by its senior vice president Shekhar Salkar have gone to Chennai today to meet BCCI officials.
According to sources close to Salkar faction, eight out of 15 members of GCA's managing committee are with them, which pushes Phadke into minority.
The managing committee has also resolved that Phadke's rights to participate in decision-making be withdrawn.
The cricketing body is currently in crisis after the state government has warned them of derecognition.
The government had pointed out that Phadke, who has been indicted by Justice Pendse Commission in connection with the infamous 2001 India-Australia match ticket scam, is still at the helm of affairs of this body.
When contacted, Salkar refused to comment.
However, Phadke said that he was there to officially participate in the meeting.
"As a GCA president, I am empowered to participate in the meeting," he said.
