Two farmers allegedly committed suicide over loan burden in drought-affected Chandvad taluka of the district, police said today.
The deceased were identified as Rambhau Kondaji Vakte (36), a resident of Vadner Bhairav village and Devidas Bhausaheb Chavan (38), a resident of Hirapur village, police said.
Vakte consumed poison after eating dinner at his residence last night and died in a hospital during treatment, they said, adding that he was under debt of Rs 8 lakh.

The farmers were distraught over water scarcity, unseasonal rainfall and debt burden, they said.
A case of accidental death was registered, police said, adding further investigation is on.
