Two farmers killed in Muzaffarnagar

Two farmers were killed when the wall of a tubewell enclosure collapsed on them at Ramda village under Kairana police station in Shamli district, police said today.

The incident took place last evening when the farmers Ikram [45] and his nephew Jabir Ali [34] were using the tubewell, Sub-Divisional Magistrate Suresh Mishra told reporters here today.

The bodies have been recovered, he said.

Meanwhile, two more farmers were killed in separate incidents here.

Bashir [40] got electrocuted when he came in contact with an electric wire in the fields at Madwara village here, police said.

An elderly man was killed after being hit by a train at the crossing level near Thana bhawan railway station.
