Two farmers were shot dead by
unidentified persons in Hayatnagar area here, police said today.
The victims - iidentified as Lakhan Singh Yadav (65) and Veer Pal Yadav (37) - were shot dead while they were sleeping in their fields in Bhamauri Patti village late last night, Circle Officer Jagveer Singh Attri said.
The bodies were found this morning, following which an FIR was lodged against the accused.
The motive behind the double murder is not clear yet, he said.
