Two feared drowned, 23 injured in separate mishaps

Two persons were feared drowned when their vehicle fell into Chenab river in Ramban district, they said.

A truck carrying sheep was on its way from Jammu to Srinagar when it fell into the river near Ramban on the Jammu-Srinagar highway.

Two persons were feared drowned, police said adding one was injured and hospitalised.

Some sheep also perished in the accident.

In another mishap, a bus, carrying passengers from Kishtwar to Doda, skidded off the road and overturned in Prem Nagar area.

Twenty-two people, injured in the accident, were hospitalised, police said.
