M Lalmanzuala of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and C L Ruala of the ruling Congress today filed nomination papers to contest the coming election to the lone Mizoram Lok Sabha seat to be held on April nine.
Lalmuanzuala was the first to file his papers, followed by the sitting Lok Sabha member Ruala.
Meanwhile, Vanlalawmpuii Chawngthu of the Congress filed nominations to contest the by-elections to Hrangturzo assembly seat to be held simultaneously with the Parliamentary polls.
The last date for filing nominations in Mizoram is March 22.
