A fire broke out tonight in a school building in north Kashmir's Bandipora district, police said.
The fire broke out in a building of Government Middle School in Sadrukote Bala village in Sumbal area of Bandipora, a police official said, adding fire tenders have been rushed to the spot and further details were awaited.
In a separate incident, the official said, another fire broke out in a government quarter belonging to Public Health Engineering Department at Toulhalan in south Kashmir's Shopian district.

He said the police and emergency and fire services personnel were trying to douse the flames.
Further details of the incident were awaited, he said.
Meanwhile, in order to impose the shutdown call, some unidentified persons lobbed a petrol bomb on a tipper near Khanpora in north Kashmir's Baramulla district.
Driver of the vehicle Irshad Ahmad Mir, a resident of Uran Buwa village of Boniyar area of the district, was injured in the incident, the official said.
Mir was shifted to SMHS Hospital here for treatment, he said, adding a case has been registered and a hunt was launched to nab the culprits.
